Tolerance is the tradition .

Your religion ?

I am Hindu !

This will be my answer if anybody in India will ask but I am not gonna say it when I am asked the same question in Europe or America or any other country. My answer will be "I am Indian".
It has to be my answer and that is the only answer which is required, accepted and understood once I step out of my country.

Religion is not above the nation and people of all religions must understand this. Having said so, the challenge here is Religion must not invoke anti-nationalism and must be practiced to protect the country where it is practiced and it must find a way to co-exist with the other religions.

The willingness and capacity to co-exist is tolerance.

Tolerance is an individual talent. The reason I call it a talent is, that it needs to be identified at a very young age, nurtured until a certain age and then be used for a collective motive.

In India, the continuous effort to nurture this talent made it inherent and gradually it became a tradition. Tolerance is a tradition in India and is a collective tradition of people of various co-existing religions not only the Hindus or only Muslims or only Sikhs or only Christians.

People of India were tolerant for the motive of protecting their region, their culture, their country.

These days few of our fellows are betraying the tradition. Tradition is being replaced by a trend and this new trend is intolerance.
This talent of intolerance is identified at a very young age, nurtured until a certain age and then it is used for a collective motive against the ethos of this country.

But the most unfortunate thing which is happening here is that these same fellows are trying to relate the intolerance with Hinduism.

If tolerance was a collective and mutual effort, why intolerance is labeled under Hinduism?

The anti-Hindu elements somewhere forgot the motive of tolerance. It was for the sake of country and not for benefitting the anti-national and the anti-Hindu agenda.

What is expected from Hindus? To keep quiet and see how a religion takes over the nation!

The whole debate of intolerance is a political propaganda and educated people very much understand this but unfortunately do not wish to react.

Secularism was introduced in the constitution of India in 1976, to ensure the religious equality but the misinterpretation and misuse of it has leaded the nation towards an ideological crisis.

In the name of secularism, one is asked to not use the adjective  Gyan ka Mandir for an renowned educational institute on a national channel.

If you are secular , why do you have a problem when we use this word? You should respect it and if you want, you do not say what I say but why to object ?

Don't Hindus have the right to freedom to speak their language?

Is Hinduism not entitled of the respect in a secular Country?

There are people who have a Hindu name, who take the legal benefits of being Hindu and go to church every Sunday to mark their presence in the attendance register and are followers of Jesus Christ.

I don't have a problem if they follow Christ.

I don't want them to change their ideas but I want them to change their names.

A man who has a Hindu name eats beef and makes fun of Hindu culture but is a follower of Christianity and still Hindus can't object to it since they are supposed to be secular.

If people are ready to convert, they must learn to be secular.

If you cite  Quran and Bible in Madarsa and Churches, you are teaching Secularism but if you cite  Geeta and Ramayan, you will be accused  of spreading Intolerance.
Why nobody talks about the ban on Durga puja in West Bengal in Nalhati Village ? and this is not just confined to only one village .There are a lot more things going unreported.

Majority must not be taken for granted in the name of secularism.
To see the country united and progressing is the only reason Hindus are secular and tolerant.
When we say we are not satisfied, don't misinterpret it as our intolerance!
If we say we are secular, don't misunderstand it as our inaction!
My Nationalism must not be misunderstood as my Religionism .
We welcome reform but will not encourage conversion. We value criticism but will not accept defamation.

Your religion ?

I am Hindu !

This will be my answer if anybody in India would ask but in my actions I will be an Indian first inside or outside India. And the world must understand the difference between the trend and the tradition.

Religion flourishes under the identity of Nation, not religion makes a Nation.
